Why I let go of Whimsy-grams
— and where you can find my new stories
September 2020
I’m letting go of Whimsy-grams, the heartfelt notes about slowing down and appreciating beauty in everyday life, and posting all new writing to WalksWithAsha.com.
After my dog Asha wiggled her way into several Whimsy-grams, I realized that these reflections, insights and observations wanted their own story space.
And so I created a separate blog that’s also a podcast.
When I would sit down to write, I often wondered …
Is this a Whimsy-gram or a Walks with Asha story?
The answer increasingly became Walks with Asha or Both.
They share themes of slowing down and paying attention, beauty in everyday life, nourishment and home, even though one focuses on weaving and the other on walking.
To simplify, and unify, my writing – whether about weaving, walking and whatever needs to be written – will be posted at WalksWithAsha.com.
I’d love your company.
You can read or listen on the site, get the stories delivered to your inbox when you sign up, or subscribe to the podcast wherever you listen to podcasts.

I always know there are deep aha’s for me in your storytelling because you are such an incredible noticer, a reflector and deep thinker. You have a gift for seeing what is there, wanting to be noticed. Through your seeing, we learn from you: we, too, see what is there, waiting for us.
